MUSEUM COACHING
For over 25 years, we've focused exclusively on museums - witnessing the ways they’ve evolved to reflect and respond to our changing world. What has remained constant is the vital role museums play as spaces for education, reflection, and connection.
In recent years, the need for museums to offer experiences that are both safe and emotionally resonant has become increasingly important. When done well, these experiences invite curiosity, foster empathy, and leave lasting impressions. Yet, presenting charged or sensitive topics, especially those involving trauma, injustice, or conflict, can be challenging for staff and visitors alike.
To meet this growing need, we're thrilled to introduce a new service: Museum Coaching.

Led by our exhibit designer - turned - museum coach, this service is designed to help institutions approach complex topics with confidence and care. With certifications as a Life Coach (CLC, Certified Life Coach Institute) and Grief Educator (trained by David Kessler), our coach works with museum teams using trauma-informed practices to help navigate difficult conversations, visitor reactions, and emotionally charged content.
Through one-on-one sessions, full staff workshops, guided self-inquiry, or roundtable discussions, we tailor our coaching to your institution’s specific needs. Whether you're grappling with language around sensitive issues or responding to visitor discomfort, we offer tools, training, and support to turn challenge into meaningful engagement.
At dmdg2, we’ve always met museums where they are - this new offering is simply a deeper extension of that commitment.
We’re excited to bring this to the museum community. We understand the landscape, we recognize the need, and we’re here to help create more confident teams and more impactful visitor experiences.
